Ingredients: MSM, Glucosamine Sulfate (from Shell fish), Chondroitin Sulfate (from bovine), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), HA (Sodium Hyaluronate). This formula has no Devil's Claw.
In healthy, living animals you can find both glucosamine and chondroitin stored in cartilage. Your dog's body manufactures glucosamine in an effort to keep his joints healthy. Just like humans, your dog's ability to create glucosamine is reduced as she ages, resulting in arthritic symptoms and discomfort. Supplementing with glucosamine (or a glucosamine/chondroitin combination) can maintain the health of your dog's joints, alleviate discomfort and facilitate easier movement. A study yielded positive results indicated that glucosamine chondroitin actually reduces enzymes which can destroy cartilage (which is how it can slow arthritis) while reducing inflammation and enhancing the activity of the cells which work to rebuild cartilage. Studies show that adding chondroitin enhances the effects of glucosamine and they work synergistically to achieve maximum results. MSM or methylsulfonylmethane has also been shown to ease arthritis pain. Along with hyaluronic acid from mussels, MSM is often combined with glucosamine supplements for your dog's arthritis.
Results can be seen in 15-30 days.
Dose per day is ¼ teaspoon for a dog weighing 50# or less, ½ teaspoon for a dog weighing more than 50#. Sprinkle over and or add to food. A one pound container should dose a 50 pound dog for 144 days.

My akita has hip problems and he has to take rimadyl for his pain. When he takes this supplement, he can go up to 5 or 6 weeks without limping. I have tried other brands after I left Alaska and my dog would limp more often and had to take the medication almost daily. Now, that I started ordering this supplement again, he does not need to be on medication very often. (Posted on 11/1/2013)
