Connie 22 years Owner
Connie started the business in 1986 and has owned it solely since 1997. She is general supervisor of the staff and mentor to Pete & Marcel. Connie is married to Mark and she has 4 grown children. Connie helps with staffing issues, monitors the bookkeeping, answers those odds questions such as, “Why does my dog have to eat the couch when I leave the house?” & “Can I give birth in a stock tank?” plus lots of the ‘normal’ questions. She works on the counter at times and is available most days to anyone who wants to see her. She does spend more time with her grand children but who wouldn’t?
Connie has lived in Alaska 28 years. Mark has lived in Alaska 17 years.
Jane
7.5 years Website, Mail Order and Store Manager
Jane came to work for Cold Spot just before we opened up our new location in 2003. She was hired to be a front-end person and she has evolved just like Cold Spot Feeds into other positions. She orders all the toys and harnesses for the store. She runs the mailroom full time and does an amazing job. She is very knowledgeable on pet products, foods and supplements.
Jane was born and raised in Fairbanks & has been here 27 years.
Ray
2.5 years Purchasing and Store Manager
Ray orders the dog foods and mushing gear for Cold Spot Feeds. Ray works on the counter most the time helping customers with feed questions, supplements and headlamp questions.
Ray has lived in Alaska 3.5 years.
Steve
2 year Warehouse Manager
Steve is just a really nice guy to have on our team.
Alaskan, born and raised, 29 years.
David
2 Year Customer Service Supervisor/Front End Clerk
David helps organize the store and keeps areas clean so that the store looks neat and tidy as possible. David is learning about feeds, supplements and doesn’t shy away from your questions.
David has lived in Alaska on & off for 7 years.

Ira and Kathy
Ira and Kathy are Connie & Anita’s parents & Ray’s parent in laws. Ira and Kathy live in WA State and work full time building items for Cold Spot. They have never lived here but have visited many times and been to lots of dog races such as the Yukon Quest and North American.
