Naturclay - Natural Intesting Protection by Connie Dubay

  • What is NATURCLAY?
NATURCLAY is natural powdered clay made of Bentonite, also known as Montmorillonite or Smectite. This clay is an aluminum - silicate with a magnesium substitution, but it can contain between 25 and 70 other minerals or trace elements. It is made of minuscule particles negatively charged that have the property of adsorbing up to over 20 times their volume of water, as well as positively charged particles or molecules.

  • What is the origin of NATURCLAY?
Bentonite was formed millions of years ago. Under volcanic activity, it was blown into the sky and is now found accumulated in veins where in can be mined. It is then sifted and purified to be usable for different applications. The bentonite in NATURCLAY is free of additives.

  • What is NATURCLAY going to do for my animal?
Clay, more particularly Bentonite, has been used for centuries by different civilizations. It has been taken orally by people as an aqueous colloid suspension to correct various intestinal dysfunctions and toxic conditions. It is used today for the symptomatic treatment of diarrhea in humans. It is also used in the manufacturing of some industrial animal feeds to improve their efficiency. Several alternative medicine specialists recommend it as prevention against the effects of the toxins and chemicals that we ingest today.
It has been used successfully to prevent and treat diarrhea induced by stress in sled dog races. In short, it helps to eliminate toxins and protects the intestinal mucosa.

  • What is the mode of action of NATURCLAY?
Bentonite is not absorbed by the body, its action is purely local and is a direct effect of its physical and electrical properties. When it is mixed with water, it has an enormous surface area so that it can act as liner inside the intestine. Electronic microscope pictures have shown the intestinal cells being covered by the suspension. The electrical properties of bentonite make it adsorb bacteria and toxins in the intestine so that they can be eliminated with the clay.

  • Are there any side effects or toxicity associated with NATURCLAY?
There is no toxicity and no side effects when given at the recommended dosage. Care should just be taken in case of constipation, the dosage should then be reduced or the administration stopped.

  • How can we administer NATURCLAY?
NATURCLAY should be hydrated with a little bit of water before use. It is best if taken at least one hour before or after a meal. The recommended dosage is 250 mg/kg of body weight twice a day for 4 to 5 days.
Practically, this amounts to one coffee spoon twice a day for a 20 pounds animal and one tablespoon twice a day for a 40 pounds animal.
